Job summary

Protocol Education Ltd is seeking a caring and enthusiastic SEN Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming primary school in Colchester. You will support a pupil 1:1, assist with interventions and work closely with teachers and families to foster a positive learning environment.

The role involves adapting to different days and activities, building relationships with children, and contributing to inclusive provision across mainstream and specialist settings.

Qualifications

• Experience working with children, especially SEND, is beneficial.
• Calm, patient and encouraging approach.
• Ability to build positive relationships with pupils.

Responsibilities

• Support a pupil 1:1 to help them thrive in class.
• Work with staff and SEND professionals to create positive learning experiences.
• Lead small group interventions to build confidence and independence.
• Help maintain a safe and welcoming classroom environment.
