Job summary

Aspiring candidate to join our Hinckley primary school as a SEN Teaching Assistant, supporting children with a range of learning needs on a full-time, term-time basis.

You'll work 1:1 and in small groups, assist with tailored activities, monitor progress with the SENCO, and help create an inclusive classroom. DBS enhanced check is required before employment, with opportunities for professional development and a supportive school community.

Qualifications

• Experience working with children in an educational setting.
• Willingness to undertake professional development and training.
• Enhanced DBS check before employment.
• Patient, caring and flexible approach to working with children.

Responsibilities

• Provide one-to-one and small group support to children with SEN.
• Assist in the planning and delivery of tailored learning activities.
• Help to create an inclusive and supportive classroom environment.
• Work closely with the SENCO and other staff to monitor and assess progress.
• Support children with personal care needs when required.
• Promote positive behaviour and emotional wellbeing in line with the school's ethos.
• Build strong relationships with children, parents, and colleagues.
