Job summary

Teaching Personnel in Leeds is seeking a dedicated Teaching Assistant to support primary students, including those with special educational needs. The role is offered on a full- or part-time basis, term time only, with duties across small group and one-to-one tutoring, and supporting teachers in the classroom.

Ideal candidates will have experience with young children, a Level 2 certificate in Early Years or Childcare (desirable), and a commitment to safeguarding.

Qualifications

• Experience working with young children in educational or childcare settings.
• Training or willingness to undertake safeguarding and DBS checks.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver small group tutoring or catch-up programmes.
• Plan and deliver one-to-one tutoring or catch-up programmes.
• Assist classroom teachers to support SEN students in lessons while ensuring progress.
• Undertake break time and lunch time duties as directed.
• Maintain good relationships with colleagues, students and parents/carers to ensure clear communication.
