Job summary

Leeds Primary School is seeking a SEN Teaching Assistant to support pupils with a range of needs, including MLD, ASD, and SLCN. You will work closely with teachers to deliver personalised support, helping children access an engaging curriculum and develop confidence.

The role is a temporary teaching assistant position based in Leeds, offering day rates of £90–£120 and a supportive school community that prioritises pupil wellbeing and inclusive practice.

Qualifications

• Experience working with children with SEN (particularly MLD, ASD, or communication difficulties) is highly desirable.
• A calm, patient, and empathetic approach.
• A genuine passion for working with children who have additional needs

Responsibilities

• Supporting pupils on a 1:1 basis or in small groups with their learning and development
• Assisting with the delivery of personalised learning plans
• Helping pupils to build confidence, communication, and independence
• Supporting the management of behaviour in a positive, inclusive way
• Ensure a safe, caring and supportive learning environment
