Job summary

TeacherActive is recruiting a Learning Care Assistant in Leeds to support children and young people with SEND. The role starts in September and can be short-term or long-term, with a PAYE payroll and competitive daily rates.

You will work with pupils across the school, supporting their learning, promoting independence and assisting with their personal, social and emotional development throughout the school day.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting children or young people with SEND.
• Caring, patient and compassionate approach.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
• Ability to support students with a range of additional learning needs.

Responsibilities

• Support learning for pupils across the school.
• Promote independence and assist with personal, social and emotional development.
• Work closely with pupils throughout the school day.
