Salary: £88.94 per day
Start: Immediate
Contract: Day-to-Day/Long-Term, Full-time/Part-time

GSL Education are currently seeking a compassionate and reliable SEN Teaching Assistant in Tonbridge who has previously worked as a Nanny. Your one-to-one care experience and natural ability to build trust with children will be highly valuable in supporting students with diverse learning needs.

About the Role:

You will be supporting pupils with a range of complex needs, including Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), speech and language difficulties, ADHD, and social, emotional, and mental health challenges. Your patience and personal care experience will play a crucial role in helping these young learners access education and develop independence.

Main Responsibilities:

• Provide tailored one-to-one and small group support in and out of the classroom.
• Support students with emotional regulation, sensory needs, and social interaction.
• Assist with personal care tasks when required, ensuring dignity and safety.
• Implement individual learning plans and support the delivery of interventions.
• Foster positive relationships and a nurturing environment that encourages growth and participation.
• Work collaboratively with class teachers, SENCOs, and external professionals.

Job Requirements:

• Previous experience in an SEN or mainstream educational setting (desirable).
• Prior experience working as a Nanny, with transferable skills in child development and behaviour support.
• Understanding of various Special Educational Needs conditions, including autism and ADHD etc.
• Patience, adaptability and a genuine commitment to supporting students' growth.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a team environment.
• Have anupdated CV(covering thelast ten years barring any unexplained gaps) andan enhanced DBSregistered to theUpdate Service(or be willing to apply for one).
