Surrey Schools | Full-Time & Part-Time | Immediate & September Starts
Are you a recent Psychology graduate looking to gain hands-on experience working with children and young people with special educational needs (SEN) and behavioural challenges?
We’re recruiting enthusiastic and empathetic graduates to join our network of SEN schools and mainstream provisions across Surrey, supporting pupils with a range of needs including ASD, ADHD, SEMH, and trauma-related behaviours.
This is an ideal stepping stone for those pursuing careers in:
Educational or Clinical Psychology
Teaching
Speech and Language Therapy
Mental Health and Wellbeing Support
The Role:
Work 1:1 or in small groups with pupils to support behaviour, engagement, and emotional regulation
Help implement strategies developed by SENCOs, teachers, and therapists
Build trusting relationships and act as a positive role model
Support students in managing transitions, routines, and social skills
Assist in creating a safe, inclusive, and nurturing environment
What We’re Looking For:
A degree in Psychology (or related field)
Genuine interest in working with children with SEN and behavioural needs
Patience, resilience, and a calm approach under pressure
Previous experience working with children (in any setting) is desirable but not essential
Commitment to working at least 3 days per week (term-time only)
