Contract: Day-to-Day/Long-Term, Full-time/Part-time

About the Role:

You will be working alongside teaching staff and therapists to support students with a range of needs including physical disabilities, complex medical conditions, Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), and social, emotional, and mental health (SEMH) challenges.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide tailored support to students with health, emotional, or behavioural challenges.
  • Assist pupils with mobility, personal care, and medical requirements as necessary.
  • Work closely with school nurses, therapists, and SEN professionals to implement care and support plans.
  • Help pupils engage with learning by creating a calm, safe, and nurturing environment.
  • Monitor wellbeing and alert appropriate staff of any concerns.
  • Promote independence, confidence, and emotional development in pupils.

Job Requirements:

  • Must have background in nursing or experience working as a nurse (including adult, children’s, or mental health nursing).
  • Experience working with children with SEN, ideally in a school or specialist setting.
  • A strong understanding of Autism, ADHD, SEMH, and other learning difficulties.
  • Patience, resilience, and a caring nature to support students’ unique learning journeys.
  • Excellent communication skills to work effectively with staff, students, and parents.
  • Ability to adapt teaching strategies to suit individual learning needs.
  • Have anupdated CV(covering thelast ten years barring any unexplained gaps) andan enhanced DBSregistered to theUpdate Service(or be willing to apply for one).
