Job summary

Tradewind Recruitment LTD. is partnering with a welcoming primary school in Luton to recruit a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant for an immediate start.

You will provide one-to-one and small group support for pupils with SEN, help them stay engaged, and work with teachers to deliver tailored learning support in a calm, inclusive environment. Ideal candidates will have experience with additional needs, be patient and team-oriented, and hold an Enhanced DBS or be willing to apply for one.

Qualifications

• Has experience working with children or young people with additional needs.
• Patient, resilient and passionate about building positive relationships.
• Can adapt their approach to meet individual learning needs.
• Works well as part of a team while using their own initiative.
• Holds an Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or is happy to apply for one.

Responsibilities

• Providing one-to-one and small-group support for pupils with Special Educational Needs.
• Helping children stay engaged, build confidence and work towards their individual targets.
• Working alongside teachers and SENCOs to deliver tailored learning support.
• Encouraging positive behaviour and supporting pupils' social and emotional development.
• Creating a calm, inclusive environment where every child has the opportunity to thrive.
