Job summary

The Netherhall Mead special school, part of The Mead Educational Trust (TMET), is seeking a Level 1 SEN Teaching Assistant to support pupils aged 4-19 with complex needs. You will help pupils access learning, develop communication and independence skills, and monitor progress against individual targets.

The role is 32.5 hours per week during school term time plus 5 training days, with an actual salary of £20,835 to £22,210.

Qualifications

• Good basic education is required.
• Previous experience as a Teaching Assistant is desirable but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Support pupils in accessing learning and developing communication and independence skills.
• Build positive relationships with pupils, families and colleagues and help them reach their individual goals.
