Randstad Education is seeking a Teaching Assistant (Level 2/3) to support a class of 8-10 pupils with Autism Spectrum Condition in Cambridge. You will work with therapists and teachers to create a nurturing environment focused on social-emotional wellbeing and EHCP targets.
Role includes direct classroom support, lesson adaptation, behaviour promotion, safeguarding, and occasional Level 3 activities for small groups. Level 2 required, Level 3 preferable.

£25,185 - £25,583 FTE (approx. £21,697 - £22,040 pro-rata) [L2] or £25,584 - £27,269 FTE (approx. £22,041 - £23,493 pro-rata) [L3]
Join a supportive, holistic team delivering high-quality education to a class of 8-10 pupils with Autism Spectrum Condition. Working alongside specialist teachers and therapists, you will create a safe, nurturing environment focused on social-emotional wellbeing, communication, and fulfilling each pupil's Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP).
Classroom & Pupil Support
Deliver direct support to individuals or small groups, adapting lessons and learning approaches to meet EHCP targets.
Promote positive social interactions, inclusion, high standards of behaviour, and attendance.
Assist with emotional, physical, and medical care, including lunch duty supervision and First Aid administration.
(Level 3) Plan, arrange, and deliver specialised learning activities for small groups.
Teacher & Operational Support
Prepare classroom environments, resources, displays, and manage day-to-day administrative tasks.
Record pupil progress, contribute to target setting, planning, and evaluation.
Maintain a clean, safe learning environment in line with Health & Safety regulations.
(Level 3) Provide detailed feedback on learning activities to support school review processes.
Community, Culture & Safeguarding
Embody school values, foster family participation, and support school events.
Maintain strict safeguarding standards, pupil welfare, and medical/child protection protocols.
Uphold a "Humans first, professional second" culture, engaging in CPD, team collaboration, and out-of-hours governance/school meetings as required.
(Level 2/3) Support or mentor fellow Teaching Assistants in their professional development.
To be succesful in your application, you will have minimum Level 2 qualification and previous experience as an SEN Teaching Assistant in either a mainstream or SEN setting.
