Vetro Recruitment is seeking a dedicated Teaching Assistant (Level 1) to support pupils with severe and complex needs on the Wirral. This hands-on role involves helping learners access education, develop independence, and thrive in a safe, structured environment.

Qualifications

• Relevant TA qualification or demonstrable experience supporting children/young people.
• Secure understanding of child development and safeguarding responsibilities.
• Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to complete one).

Responsibilities

• Supporting pupils’ learning and engagement in the classroom through tailored, practical assistance aligned to individual needs.
• Promoting positive behaviour, wellbeing, and inclusion, helping pupils build confidence and independence throughout the school day.
• Working closely with teachers and the wider support team to contribute to plans, routines, and learning activities.
