Job summary

TeacherActive is seeking an experienced SEN Teaching Assistant to support students with additional needs in Newcastle, across KS3 and KS4, including autism, ADHD and SEMH.

This long-term role offers permanent opportunities, PAYE payroll, CPD courses, and competitive daily rates. You will help students access learning, manage individual needs and build positive relationships within the classroom.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting children or young people with additional needs.
• Experience working with autism/ ASD, ADHD and SEMH needs.
• Experience across KS3 and KS4 is desirable.
• Patient and resilient approach.
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills.

Responsibilities

• Support students with a range of needs, helping them access learning.
• Assist in managing individual needs and behaviour in class.
• Build positive relationships with students and staff to support inclusion.
