Job Opportunity: SEN Teaching Assistants

A Specialist provision within a mainstream Primary school in Bolton is seeking SEN Teaching Assistants. The school offers both short-term and long-term contracts, which can be full-time or part-time.

About the School

The school caters to primary pupils with MLD, ASC, SCLN, SPLD, Visual impairments, and HI. They are looking for individuals passionate about making a difference in specialist settings. The role involves creating positive relationships with pupils, encouraging positive choices, and supporting behaviour management.

Role Responsibilities

• Providing general support within classrooms
• Collaborating with LSAs and class teachers

Positions Available

Long-term roles

• Full-time (Monday-Friday, 8.30am-3.30pm/8.30am-4.00pm)
• Long-term commitment required
• Opportunity for a permanent position

Short-term roles

• Part-time and full-time positions with varied or ad-hoc days
• Covering emergency or scheduled absences

Candidate Profile

Experience is diverse; success is possible whether you are an experienced SEN support assistant, a graduate seeking experience, or have background support/care/youth work. Experience supporting individuals with additional needs is desirable but not essential.
