Job description

About the Role:
We are looking for a passionate and dedicated General Teaching Assistant to join our vibrant and supportive Year 2 team in a primary school located in Bolton. The ideal candidate will have a genuine love for working with children, a strong understanding of the Key Stage 1 curriculum, and the ability to support students with varying learning needs.

As a Year 2 General Teaching Assistant, you will play a key role in supporting the class teacher, helping students to thrive in their learning, and contributing to the overall positive atmosphere in the classroom.

Key Responsibilities:
Support the delivery of lessons and learning activities under the guidance of the class teacher.
Provide 1:1 or small group support to students, both in and out of the classroom.
Assist with classroom management to ensure a safe and productive learning environment.
Monitor and record student progress and provide feedback to the teacher.
Help with administrative tasks, including preparing learning resources.
Build positive relationships with students to support their emotional and social development.

Requirements:
Experience working as a Teaching Assistant, ideally within a Key Stage 1 environment.
A Level 2 or equivalent qualification in Supporting Teaching and Learning (or working towards).
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
A patient, compassionate, and proactive approach to working with children.
Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to apply for one).
