Job summary

TimePlan Education is seeking a caring SEN Teaching Assistant to join a supportive secondary special-school environment for pupils aged 11-17 with complex learning needs. The role involves supporting students in classrooms and across the school to develop independence and confidence.

Qualifications

• Experience in SEN or supporting children with SEND is advantageous.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with students, parents and staff.
• Commitment to inclusion, independence and positive student outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Provide one-to-one and small-group support to students as required.
• Support learning activities and classroom routines with teachers.
• Help students access the curriculum and participate in activities.
• Encourage independence, confidence and life skills development.
• Support communication and positive social interaction among students.
• Follow individual support plans and monitor student progress.
• Promote safe, welcoming and inclusive learning environments.
