Job summary

Curnow School in the South West of England is recruiting an energetic and enthusiastic SEN Teaching Assistant to join the Upper School team on a fixed term contract to 31/08/2027. Working hours are 8:50 am to 3:30 pm, five days a week.

Experience of supporting pupils with challenging behaviours and with severe or profound needs is essential. A warm, empathetic personality and a collaborative approach are vital to provide the best support for our pupils.

Qualifications

• Experience of supporting pupils with challenging behaviours, severe physical and/or learning difficulties.
• Warm, empathetic personality and ability to work professionally with others.
• Willingness to work 8:50am–3:30pm and contribute to a specialist curriculum.

Responsibilities

• Build positive, supportive relationships that help pupils grow in confidence, independence and self-esteem
• Assist with the delivery of an ambitious, specialist curriculum tailored to individual needs
• Provide hands-on support for pupils with a wide range of learning, physical and behavioural needs.
