Job summary

Aspire People Limited is seeking a dedicated SEN Teacher to join a supportive and inclusive school in Lewisham. You will plan and deliver differentiated lessons, develop individual learning plans, and support students with diverse needs to make academic and social progress.

The role involves collaborating with TAs, the SENCO, and external professionals, tracking progress and adapting strategies to promote engagement and independence in a structured classroom environment.

Qualifications

• QTS or relevant teaching qualification.
• Experience working with students with Special Educational Needs in a school setting.
• Strong understanding of inclusive teaching strategies and differentiated learning.
• Excellent communication and classroom management skills.
• Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one).

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver differentiated lessons tailored to students with a range of SEN.
• Develop and implement individual learning plans aligned with EHCP targets.
• Support students with needs such as ASD, ADHD, SEMH, speech and language difficulties, and moderate learning difficulties.
• Work closely with Teaching Assistants, the SENCO, and external professionals to support student development.
• Monitor, assess, and track student progress, adapting teaching strategies where required.
