Smart Teachers are seeking an experienced SEN Teaching Assistant to support pupils with additional needs at a welcoming primary school in Romford. Location: Romford, East London. Pay: £105 per day PAYE.

Roles include day-to-day supply or long-term assignments with hours 08:15–15:30, offering full-time or part-time flexibility and the chance to make a real difference in a supportive environment. You will provide one-to-one and small-group support, help with learning and behaviour, adapt

Qualifications

• Experience supporting children with SEN in a school or educational setting.
• Patient, caring and empathetic approach.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to build positive relationships with pupils and staff.
• Proactive, flexible and reliable attitude.

Responsibilities

• Provide one-to-one and small-group support for pupils with additional needs.
• Support learning, communication, social development and emotional regulation.
• Adapt activities and resources to meet individual learning needs.
• Work with the class teacher and SENCO to implement support strategies.
• Help maintain a safe, positive and inclusive classroom environment.
• Encourage independence, confidence and positive relationships.
• Support pupils with daily routines and behaviour management where required.
