Job summary

Protocol Education Limited in Romford is recruiting experienced SEN Teaching Assistants for full-time roles across mainstream primary schools. You will support pupils with their learning, development, communication, behaviour and wider educational needs, either on a 1:1 basis or in small groups.

The role requires prior SEN experience, patience and resilience, strong teamwork and communication skills. You will work closely with class teachers and SENCOs to help pupils reach their full potential,

Qualifications

  • Experience with children or young people with SEN is essential.
  • Experience supporting pupils 1:1 or in small groups would be highly beneficial.
  • Strong understanding of different SEN needs and the ability to adapt your approach to individual pupils.

Responsibilities

  • Support pupils with learning, development, communication, behaviour and wider educational needs.

Job description

Due to an increase in SEN needs across a number of our mainstream schools in Romford, we are currently looking for experienced and dedicated SEN Teaching Assistants to join our team on a full-time basis.

We are looking for candidates who have previous experience supporting children with Special Educational Needs and who are confident working either on a 1:1 basis or within small groups.

You will be working closely with class teachers and SENCOs to support pupils with their learning, development, communication, behaviour and wider educational needs.

What We're Looking For
  • Previous experience working with children or young people with SEN is essential.
  • Experience supporting pupils on a 1:1 or small-group basis would be highly beneficial.
  • A good understanding of different SEN needs and the ability to adapt your approach to individual pupils.
  • Someone who is patient, caring, resilient and passionate about supporting children.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Must be available to work full-time, Monday to Friday.
  • A genuine commitment to helping pupils reach their full potential.
