Job summary

We are seeking an enthusiastic SEN support worker to help plan and deliver learning activities for pupils with complex needs at a Barrowmore Cheshire school. You will assist with task-specific learning, monitor progress and support independent learning in a nurturing environment.

Role involves supervising pupils, promoting inclusion, supporting ICT use in class, and contributing to Positive Behaviour Support Plans. Applicants should have Level 2/3 in Teaching and Learning or equivalent.

Qualifications

  • Ability to support pupils to make progress against EHCP targets.
  • Ability to work collaboratively and communicate effectively with a range of people both orally and in writing.
  • Ability to lead a specialist area in school, e.g. speech and language or handwriting.
  • Confident user of IT as a work tool.
  • Well organised, self-motivated and able to work independently or as part of a team.

Responsibilities

  • Contribute to planning learning activities and support learning for pupils with English and Maths difficulties.
  • Supervise pupils with SEND, ensuring their safety and access to learning activities.
  • Provide feedback on pupil progress under the guidance of teaching staff.
  • Promote social and emotional development and positive behaviour support.
  • Follow safeguarding, health and safety, data protection and inclusion policies.
