Job summary

Ashton on Mersey School, part of The Dean Trust, is seeking a Teaching Assistant 2 SEN to join our dedicated team. You will work under the guidance of teaching staff to enable access to learning for pupils, with a focus on those with special educational needs, both in the classroom and potentially in non-teaching spaces.

The role requires flexibility, commitment to safeguarding, and a collaborative approach to support pupil development, behaviour, and progress.

Qualifications

• 5 GCSEs including Maths and English (grade 4-9) or equivalent.
• TA2 qualification or equivalent or relevant experience.
• TA1 qualification or equivalent or relevant experience.

Responsibilities

• Work under guidance of teaching staff to support learning.
• Assist in management of pupils and classroom.
• Supervise pupils during non-teaching activities.
• Support pupils with SEND and access to learning.
• Help with ICT and learning resources.
