Job summary

Biddenham International School and Sports College is seeking a Teaching Assistant to support students with special educational needs, both in class and in the Learning Support room. The role is 33 hours per week across 5 days during term time, with hours from 07:45 to 16:00, Monday to Friday.

Ideal candidates will have at least 5 GCSEs including English and Maths, experience with young people, and strong communication and organisational skills.

Qualifications

• Have a good standard of secondary education with 5 GCSEs including English and Maths.
• Background of working with young people.
• Be a good communicator.
• Have good organisation skills and the ability to work to deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Support the learning of individuals and groups of students with special educational needs, both within the classroom and in the Learning Support room.
• Assist students to access the whole school curriculum as their needs allow, including those with physical disabilities or medical needs.
