Job summary

Remedy Recruitment Group is seeking a patient SEN Teaching Assistant for a well-resourced SEN school in Billericay starting ASAP.

You will provide 1:1 and small group support across primary and secondary, help with communication and behaviour, and work with teachers and SENCOs to implement EHCP targets.

This full-time, long-term role offers ongoing consultant support and the potential for permanent placement, with a rewarding impact on pupil wellbeing.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting children or young people with SEN, ASD, ADHD or complex needs.
• Calm, patient and resilient approach.
• Comfortable working across both primary and secondary age groups.
• Willing to support personal care where needed.
• Enhanced DBS on Update Service (or willingness to obtain one).

Responsibilities

• Providing 1:1 and small group support across primary and secondary classes.
• Supporting communication, emotional regulation and engagement in learning.
• Following EHCP targets and individual support plans.
• Assisting with personal care where required.
• Working closely with teachers, SENCOs and external professionals.
• Helping maintain a calm, structured and positive learning environment.
• Encouraging independence, confidence and social development.
