Job summary

Remedy Education is seeking a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join an Epping school that supports primary and secondary pupils with a range of needs. You will work 1:1 and in small groups to aid learning and wellbeing.

ASAP start, full-time long-term role with potential for permanency; you will implement EHCP targets, support communication and personal care where needed, and collaborate with teachers and specialists to create a calm, inclusive classroom.

Qualifications

  • Experience supporting children with SEN (including ASC/ADHD or complex needs).
  • Enhanced DBS on Update Service (or willingness to obtain one).
  • Ability to work across primary and secondary ages.

Responsibilities

  • Provide 1:1 and small group support across primary and secondary classes.
  • Support communication, emotional regulation, and engagement in learning.
  • Follow EHCP targets and individual support plans.
  • Assist with personal care where required.
  • Collaborate closely with teachers, SENCOs and external professionals.
  • Maintain a calm, structured and inclusive learning environment.
  • Encourage independence, confidence and social development.
