Aspire People seeks a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant for a primary school in Nuneaton. You will support children with SEMH and complex needs, delivering tailored 1:1 and small-group assistance to help them access learning and feel safe at school.

Responsibilities

  • Providing 1:1 and small-group support to pupils with additional needs.
  • Supporting children with SEMH and complex needs to engage positively with learning.
  • Helping pupils develop their social, emotional and communication skills.
  • Building positive, trusting relationships with pupils.
  • Supporting positive behaviour and helping children to regulate their emotions.
  • Working closely with teachers, SEN staff and other professionals.
  • Adapting activities and providing encouragement to meet individual needs.
  • Promoting pupils' independence, confidence and self-esteem.
