Aspire People is recruiting an SEN Teaching Assistant for a full-time role in Milton Keynes. You will support pupils with SEMH and complex needs, both in and out of the classroom, helping them to overcome barriers and participate in learning.

The role involves 1:1 and small-group support, building confidence and independence, while working closely with teachers and other professionals to create a safe, encouraging environment.

Responsibilities

  • Providing 1:1 and small-group support to pupils with additional needs.
  • Supporting children with SEMH and complex needs to engage with learning.
  • Helping pupils develop social, emotional and communication skills.
  • Building positive, trusting relationships with pupils.
  • Supporting positive behaviour and helping children regulate emotions.
  • Working closely with teachers, SEN staff and other professionals.
  • Adapting activities to meet individual needs.
  • Promoting pupils' independence, confidence and self-esteem.
