Job summary

GSL Education is seeking a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join a supportive school in Gainsborough on a full-time supply basis, with the potential to become long-term or permanent.

You will support children with SEN including SEMH, MLD and PMLD, helping them access learning and develop their confidence, independence and social skills.

The role involves 1:1 and small-group support, behaviour management, collaborating with teachers, and adhering to safeguarding procedures including DBS checks.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting children with SEN is desirable.
• DBS checks and safeguarding knowledge are required.
• Patience, resilience and a nurturing approach are essential.

Responsibilities

• Provide 1:1 and small-group support to pupils with SEN.
• Support learning, emotional regulation and positive behaviour.
• Build positive relationships with pupils and work with the SEN team.
