Job summary

GSL Education is seeking a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join a supportive school in Gainsborough on a full-time supply basis, with the opportunity for long-term or permanent employment.

You will support children and young people with SEN, including SEMH, MLD and PMLD, helping them access learning, build confidence, independence and social skills. Availability Monday-Friday and a collaborative school environment are provided.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting children with special educational needs.
• Ability to support learning in 1:1 and small groups.
• Ability to support emotional regulation and positive behaviour.

Responsibilities

• Provide 1:1 and small-group support to pupils with SEN.
• Support learning, communication, emotional regulation and positive behaviour.
• Build positive and trusting relationships with pupils.
• Work closely with teachers and the wider SEN team.
• Provide personal care where required, depending on the setting.
• Maintain a calm, patient and nurturing approach.
