Job summary

Prospero Teaching is seeking a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to support children with additional needs in a Blackburn specialist SEN school from September. You will work alongside teachers and SEN staff, using individual plans and EHCPs to provide targeted support, promote confidence and engagement in learning.

Ideal candidates include those with SEN or school-based experience, or psychology graduates, who are patient, resilient, and adaptable, and committed to improving outcomes for pupils

Qualifications

• Experience in SEN or school-based settings.
• Psychology graduates encouraged to apply.
• Patient, resilient and adaptable with strong communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Support pupils with a broad range of additional needs.
• Collaborate with teachers and specialist staff to implement appropriate support strategies.
• Build strong relationships to encourage learning, confidence and engagement.
