Job summary

Oasis Academy Mayfield is recruiting a SEN Teaching Assistant to support teaching staff in developing educational provision for learners. You will assist with planning, preparation and delivery of lessons, and prepare resources to support learning activities while ensuring pupils are supported pastorally.

You’ll help evaluate progress and feed back to the class teacher to ensure learning needs are met. Full-time role with salary aligned to term-time working and a progressive benefits package.

Qualifications

• GCSEs at C or above including English and Maths.
• Teaching Assistant qualification desirable.
• Experience of class supervision and assisting with lesson provision.
• Good written and verbal communication and teamwork with staff.
• Empathetic and able to support students respectfully.

Responsibilities

• Assist with planning, preparation and delivery of lesson provision.
• Prepare resources to support learning activities and pupil welfare.
• Support pupils on a whole-class and individual basis and provide feedback to teachers.
• Contribute to evaluating student progress and ensure needs are met.
