Job summary

Vision for Education are recruiting a Teaching Assistant for a SEN school in Brighton to start ASAP. The role involves supporting pupils aged 4–11 with SEND/SEMH in class, small groups and one-to-one settings, using behaviour management to help them access learning.

Desirable qualifications include Level 2/3 Supporting Teaching and Learning or Level 2/3 Early Years Educator, and driving is preferred. Training and safeguarding updates are provided.

Qualifications

• Level 2/3 teaching-related qualification or Early Years Educator qualification.
• Ability to drive.
• Experience with SEND/SEMH or challenging behaviours.
• Strong behaviour management to de-escalate situations.
• Mentor and engage pupils with tailored educational packages.

Responsibilities

• Support pupils in class, in small groups and 1:1, using behaviour management to aid learning.
• Deliver specially designed educational packages to pupils aged 4–11 with SEND/SEMH.
