Job summary

Vision for Education is seeking a dedicated Learning Support Assistant to join our welcoming partner schools across Sussex, supporting incredible young people with SEND in a calm, caring environment.

You will provide learning and pastoral support, build trusting relationships, and work with teachers to create inclusive learning experiences. The role is temporary with day-to-day and long-term positions, with excellent pay and opportunities for training and progression.

Qualifications

• Valid driving license and own transport.
• Level 2/3 Supporting Teaching and Learning in Schools or Level 2/3 Early Years Educator.

Vision for Education is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Learning Support Assistant to join our welcoming partner schools across Sussex and support incredible young people with Special Educational needs. In this Learning Support Assistant role, you will be providing learning and pastoral support to students in a calming environment, where your care, patience, and positivity will make a meaningful difference every single day.

As a Learning Support Assistant, you will build strong, trusting relationships with students, celebrate progress both big and small, and provide tailored support that helps learners grow in confidence, independence, and resilience. Working closely with teachers and a supportive, like-minded team, the Learning Support Assistant will play a key role in creating an inclusive and inspiring environment where every child feels seen, supported, and empowered to succeed.

Requirements

• Desired: valid driving license and own transport.
• DESIRED: Level 2/3 Supporting Teaching and Learning in Schools or Level 2/3 Early Years Educator
• Desired: Have prior school experience working with young people with SEND.
• To mentor and engage with the pupils, delivering specifically designed educational packages using a trauma informed approach.
• You will need to be passionate, empathetic and patient.
