Job summary

Wellesbourne CofE Primary School is seeking a dedicated Teaching Assistant Level 2 (SEN) to support children with diverse needs. You will work alongside teachers, the SENDCo and families to help pupils access learning, build confidence and develop independence in a supportive environment.

The role emphasises personalised support, intervention delivery and collaborative planning to ensure high expectations and wellbeing for all pupils.

Qualifications

  • Experience of working with children with additional needs.
  • Knowledge of inclusive teaching practices and strategies.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Patience, empathy and resilience in challenging situations.

Responsibilities

  • Support delivery of inclusive learning with guidance from the SENDCo.
  • Provide targeted support for individuals and small groups, including those with EHCPs.
  • Adapt activities, resources and teaching approaches to meet individual needs.
  • Assist pupils in accessing the curriculum and participating in lessons.
  • Observe and record pupil progress against targets and provide feedback to staff.
