Job summary

Wellesbourne CE Primary & Nursery School is seeking a dedicated Teaching Assistant to support learning, wellbeing and pupil development. You will work with teachers to deliver high-quality activities, adapt resources for different needs and monitor progress.

We value patience, teamwork and a safeguarding-focused approach. You will help maintain a welcoming classroom, supervise lunchtime activities and contribute to an inclusive school culture where every child can thrive.

Responsibilities

  • Work alongside teachers to support the delivery of high-quality learning experiences.
  • Provide targeted support to individual pupils and small groups to reinforce learning and help them make progress.
  • Adapt support and resources to meet the varying needs of pupils, including those with additional learning needs.
  • Encourage pupils to develop confidence, independence and positive learning behaviours.
  • Support the preparation and organisation of classroom resources and learning activities.
  • Assist in the assessment and monitoring of pupil progress, providing feedback to teaching staff.
  • Promote high expectations of behaviour, achievement and participation.
