Job summary

Monarch Education is recruiting an SEN Teaching Assistant to work in specialist SEN schools around Bury. You will support pupils with a range of needs, helping them access learning and develop independence in a nurturing setting.

We are seeking committed individuals, whether experienced SEN TAs, care workers, or those with transferable experience, who can start ASAP or after October Half-Term and contribute to pupils reaching their full potential.

Qualifications

• SEN Teaching Assistant experience or related support work is advantageous.
• Experience working with children and young people with complex needs is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Support pupils with PMLD, ASC, SEMH in specialist SEN settings.
• Assist pupils with learning activities and target areas as directed by teachers.
• Provide 1:1 or small group support to promote engagement and safety during lessons.

We are particularly keen to hear from candidates with experience supporting children and young people with:

• PMLD (Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties)
• ASC (Autism Spectrum Condition)
• SEMH (Social, Emotional and Mental Health needs)
