Job Title - SEN Teaching Assistant - Secondary
Location - Brighton
Hours - 8:30 until 3:30
Start Date - ASAP
Your new company
You will be working across different settings in our partnership schools, supporting pupils with their learning. The role will be based across KS3 and KS4, supporting pupils with their learning, including working 1:1 with pupils with SEN. You will be a supportive team member working together to provide the best learning support, enabling pupils to access learning and accelerate progress, including the provision of specialist equipment.
Your new role
You will work through key stages 3 to 4; assisting teachers and following instructions to re-engage students. Your responsibilities include distributing learning aids, breaking down lessons, working both 1:1 and within classrooms, and adapting lessons for students with different needs. You will also manage pupil behavior, run breakout sessions, and liaise with colleagues for instructions and feedback.
What you'll need to succeed
It is essential to have SEN experience, supported by examples and references. Passion for education and a desire to develop students' learning are vital. Experience in team teaching and behavior management is essential. Your role is to support students in gaining life skills and integrating into society.
