Job summary

GSL Education is seeking an SEN Teaching Assistant for a welcoming primary school in Totton. You will support pupils with autism and other needs, providing 1:1 and small-group support, helping them access a personalised and engaging curriculum.

The role emphasises a calm, nurturing environment, small class sizes and strong teamwork with teachers and support staff. Previous SEN experience is desirable but not essential, with training provided.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting children with SEN, especially autism.
• Caring, patient and enthusiastic attitude.
• Previous SEN classroom experience desirable but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Provide 1:1 and small-group support to pupils.
• Support learning, communication and wellbeing.
• Help pupils access a personalised curriculum.
