Job summary

Aspire Academy invites applications for Teaching Assistant to join a friendly team at South Gipsy Road, Welling. The role is full-time, term-time, with a 1-year contract and 37 hours per week, supporting pupils including those with SEMH, ASD and ADHD.

Qualifications

• GCSE English and Maths at grade 4 or equivalent is desirable.
• Good numeracy and literacy skills.

Responsibilities

• Support pupils within a class of 8-10 to access the curriculum.
• Deliver intervention programmes such as phonics in 1:1 or small groups.
• Offer emotional support to pupils and help maintain a calm environment.
• Support students’ individual behaviour targets and participation in activities.
