Job summary

Aspire Academy SEMH Primary School in London is seeking enthusiastic teaching assistants to join a friendly, supportive team. You will help pupils access the curriculum, deliver phonics and small-group interventions, and offer emotional support in a calm, productive environment.

This is a full-time, 37-hour week, term-time contract (39 weeks per year). The ideal candidate is resilient, patient and committed to working with children with SEMH, ASD and ADHD.

Qualifications

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills as part of a friendly, supportive team.
• Creative, resilient candidates who enjoy a challenge and work well with diverse backgrounds.
• Ability to motivate and inspire children and support their learning and behaviour.

Responsibilities

• Support pupils within a class of 8-10 to access the curriculum.
• Deliver intervention programmes such as phonics in small groups or one-to-one.
• Provide emotional support to pupils and help create a calm, productive environment.
• Support students’ individual behaviour targets and social participation within the Academy.
