Job summary

Veritas Education is seeking a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join a specialist education setting in Slough, supporting pupils with Special Educational Needs to achieve academic, social and personal development goals.   • Qualifications such as Level 2/3 Teaching Assistant, SEN or Education and Childcare are desirable but not essential.

  • Support pupils with their academic, social, emotional and behavioural development.
  • Implement individual learning plans, EHCP targets and personalised support strategies.

  • Support positive behaviour, engagement, independence and inclusion throughout the school day.

Job description

SEN Teaching Assistant Location: Slough Contract Type: Full-Time (Term-Time Only) Salary: £110 - £130 per day

We are seeking a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join a specialist education setting in Slough, supporting pupils with Special Educational Needs (SEN) and helping them achieve their academic, social and personal development goals.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced SEN Teaching Assistant, Learning Support Assistant, Teaching Assistant or Support Worker with a passion for working with children and young people with additional needs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide 1:1 and small-group support to pupils with SEN, including Autism, ADHD, SEMH and learning difficulties.
  • Support pupils with their academic, social, emotional and behavioural development.
  • Implement individual learning plans, EHCP targets and personalised support strategies.
  • Work closely with teachers, SENCOs and other professionals to promote positive pupil outcomes.

Additional Information

Each candidate will be subject to a DBS and police check where required. A successful candidate will also provide at least two references from their previous employers.
