Job summary

Remedy Education is seeking a motivated SEN Teaching Assistant to support pupils in Havering. This role offers 1:1 and group support, helping children with SEN access the curriculum and build confidence.

You will work alongside teachers and the SENCO to implement effective strategies, with adjustments for individual needs and ongoing professional development in SEN education. The opportunity suits experienced TAs or those looking to progress in SEN education, with flexible day-to-day or

Qualifications

Experience supporting children or young people is advantageous.
A caring, patient and flexible attitude.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
The ability to remain calm and positive in challenging situations.
A genuine interest in SEN and inclusive education.

Responsibilities

Provide tailored 1:1 and group support to pupils with SEN.
Assist pupils with autism, ADHD, moderate learning difficulties and communication needs.
Support classroom learning and help pupils access the curriculum.
Promote positive behaviour and emotional wellbeing.
Support pupils with SEMH needs, including emotional regulation and social development.
Help prepare learning resources and adapt activities to individual abilities.
Work alongside teachers and the SENCO to implement appropriate support strategies.
