Job summary

Remedy Education is recruiting a motivated SEN Teaching Assistant to work in a Havering school. You will support pupils with a range of special educational needs, helping them access learning, build confidence and reach individual goals, while creating a calm, inclusive classroom environment.

We welcome experienced TAs or those seeking to develop in SEN. The role offers flexible day-to-day and long-term placements, ongoing consultant support, training opportunities, and the chance to contribute

Qualifications

• Experience supporting children or young people is advantageous.
• Caring, patient and flexible attitude.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to remain calm and positive in challenging situations.
• Genuine interest in SEN and inclusive education.

Responsibilities

• Provide tailored 1:1 and group support to pupils with SEN.
• Assist pupils with autism, ADHD, moderate learning difficulties and communication needs.
• Support classroom learning and help pupils access the curriculum.
• Promote positive behaviour and emotional wellbeing.
• Support pupils with SEMH needs, including emotional regulation and social development.
• Help prepare learning resources and adapt activities to individual abilities.
• Work alongside teachers and the SENCO to implement appropriate support strategies.
