Job summary

TimePlan Education Group is seeking an experienced SEN Teaching Assistant to join a specialist school on the outskirts of Exeter. This full-time, temporary to permanent role offers £90–£95 per day for a candidate with suitable SEN experience and a caring approach.

You will work 1-1 or in small groups with secondary students who have SEMH, ASD or MLD, supporting academic and emotional needs while maintaining a safe, supportive learning environment and collaborating with teachers.

Qualifications

  • Experience working with secondary age students with SEMH/ASD/MLD in a specialist setting.
  • Empathetic, resilient, and able to manage challenging behaviour.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

  • Support secondary students 1-1 or in small groups with SEMH/MLD.
  • Provide emotional and academic support and interventions.
  • Collaborate with teachers and other professionals.
  • Maintain accurate records of progress.
  • Contribute to a safe, supportive learning environment.
