Job summary

Over Hall Community School is seeking a Specialist Teaching Assistant (Temporary) to join our team. The role involves supporting pupils with special educational needs under the guidance of the class teacher and SENCo to provide targeted provision and promote inclusive practice across the school.

The successful candidate will have experience supporting children with SEN and will work closely with staff to plan and deliver effective provision for pupils with complex needs, including EHCP-aligned

Qualifications

• Experience supporting children with special educational needs.
• Ability to plan and deliver targeted provision.
• Experience delivering interventions aligned with EHCPs.
• Commitment to inclusive practice.

Responsibilities

• Delivering interventions in line with pupils’ EHCPs, both 1:1 and in small groups.
• Planning and delivering targeted support programmes.
• Supporting sensory needs, including leading sensory circuits.
• Promoting inclusion within the classroom and wider school environment.
• Building positive relationships with families to support pupil progress and wellbeing.
• Working with external agencies and implementing recommendations to support pupil development.
