Job summary

Tradewind Recruitment is seeking enthusiastic SEN Teaching Assistants to join a vibrant Newham school. You will support learning activities, assist with interventions and work 1:1 with pupils, contributing to a positive, inclusive learning environment.

The role offers term-time hours with options for full-time or daily cover, CPD opportunities, and a dedicated Tradewind consultant to support your placement. Candidates should have experience with SEN and strong classroom management.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year experience supporting students with SEN.
• Strong classroom management and communication skills.
• Confident with leading groups.
• Passionate about supporting children's learning.
• Work collaboratively as a team.

Responsibilities

• Support learning activities across the school including whole class cover when required.
• Support teachers in planning, preparation and assessment.
• Deliver Target Interventions to help pupils progress.
• Work closely with children of varying abilities including those with SEN.
• Contribute to a positive learning environment.
• Support students on a 1:1 basis.
