Tradewind Recruitment LTD. is recruiting SEN Teaching Assistants for 1:1 and 2:1 pastoral support across primary and secondary settings in Preston and South Ribble, Lancashire. Roles involve working with pupils with EHCPs, SEMH, ADHD, ASC, or PDA.

Qualified and unqualified candidates are welcome. Backgrounds in youth work, care, sports coaching, or psychology are valued for building trust and co-regulating complex behaviour.

Formación

• Experience supporting pupils with SEMH needs or behaviour challenges.

Responsabilidades

• De-Escalation & Co-Regulation: recognise triggers and use low-arousal techniques to defuse situations.
• Curriculum Adaptation: break down tasks into manageable chunks to build confidence and prevent avoidance.
• Positive Re-Direction: facilitate sensory breaks and calming strategies during the day.
• Restorative Support: encourage positive peer interactions and resilience.
• Pastoral Record Keeping: log progress and incidents in school systems such as CPOMS.
