Job summary

Randstad Education is seeking an experienced special educational needs teaching assistant for a school in Slough. You will work with students aged 2–19 with learning disabilities and complex needs, providing support in small groups and one-to-one settings, building bonds and aiding learning journeys.

The role requires flexibility, adaptability, kindness and patience, with responsibilities including supporting pupils with autism and non-verbal students across 2–19 age range.

Qualifications

• DBS check on the Update Service (Child and Adult Workforce) or willingness to undergo one.
• 3–6 months of experience with pupils with severe learning difficulties, disabilities and autism.
• GCSE English and Maths (4/C or above).
• Access to public transport or own vehicle. (Local bus routes are available)

Job description

We are looking for an experienced special educational needs teaching assistant to join our school in Slough. The position would suit someone who is flexible, adaptable, kind and patient as you'll be working alongside a range of students aged from 2-19 years old with learning disabilities and complex conditions, including PMLD, autism and non-verbal pupils.

You will be providing support to small groups and on a 1:1 basis, building bonds and aiding students in their learning journey.

Salary: £88-95 per day.

Working Hours Between: 8:30-4:30

You Will Need:

• Enhanced DBS check on the Update Service (Child and Adult Workforce only) or willingness to undergo one.
• 3-6 months of experience working alongside pupils with severe learning difficulties, disabilities and autism.
• GCSE grades 4/C or above in English and Maths.
• Access to public transport or own vehicle. ( Local bus routes are available)
