Job summary

TeacherActive is recruiting a dedicated Teaching Assistant for a special school in Oxford. You will support pupils aged 3-16 with Severe and Profound Learning Difficulties and SEMH needs, across different ages and Key Stages. The role is long-term with ASAP start, paying £95-£115 per day and paid through PAYE.

Are you a resilient Teaching Assistant with a passion for supporting children and young people with additional needs?

Do you have experience supporting pupils with Severe and Profound Learning Difficulties and SEMH needs?

Are you confident adapting your approach to support pupils across different ages and Key Stages?

TeacherActive is proud to be working with a special school in Oxford supporting children and young people aged 3-16 with Severe and Profound Learning Difficulties. The school supports pupils across mixed Key Stages and provides a specialist environment focused on meeting individual learning, developmental and SEMH needs.

The school is looking to appoint a Teaching Assistant on a long-term basis with an ASAP start. The successful Teaching Assistant will support pupils across different age groups, work closely with teaching and support staff, and provide consistent individual and classroom support tailored to each pupil's additional needs.

The successful Teaching Assistant will have:

• Experience supporting children or young people with SEND




• Experience with Severe and Profound Learning Difficulties




• Experience supporting pupils with SEMH needs




• Confidence working across different age groups and Key Stages




• Strong communication and relationship-building skills




• A patient, resilient and adaptable approach
