Job summary

Winner Education in Oldbury is seeking an experienced SEN Teaching Assistant to join a SEN school in the Sandwell area. The role starts in September on a long-term, full-time basis, supporting KS3, KS4 and KS5 pupils with a range of SEN needs.

You will work 1:1 and with groups, assist with phonics and lesson preparation, tailor materials to individual learners, and contribute to pupil progress reports while liaising with external agencies as required.

Qualifications

• Previous SEN experience.
• Experience with KS3/KS4/KS5 pupils.
• Strong resilience and patience.
• Level 3 TA qualification required.
• Use of various communication methods.
• Good understanding of Autism and Complex needs.

The successful applicant will have previous SEN experience, and experience in working with KS3,4 and 5 age groups.

• Assist the main class teacher in lesson preparation and delivering phonics
• Tailor learning materials to the requirement of individual learners
• Assist with pupil progress reports
• Liaise with outside agencies when required

The successful SEN Teaching Assistant will have:

• A minimum Level 3 TA qualification
• Used various communication methods
• A strong understanding of Autism and Complex needs
